Do you want to start a #FOAM conversation online, but don’t want you tweets to be visible forever? Seriously, I’ve thought about this. Or perhaps you want to have an active link available only for a short period of time. If this is the case, then you could try out Spirit, a Twitter focused service that allows you to set up tweets to “self destruct” (OK not really) after a specified time limit.

Of course, you could do this on your own by going into your timeline and deleting them, but why not automate the process. Spirit does ask to be able to:

  • Read Tweets from your timeline.
  • See who you follow, and follow new people.
  • Update your profile.
  • Post Tweets for you.

But, it cannot direct message or see your password.
