I wanted to use this post as a way to thank all of you readers out there. Teaching is far and away the best part of my job and I relish every opportunity to share what I have learned. I plan to keep things going beyond post 100 of course, and I look forward to all of the interesting discussions and the growing online social media community. There are a lot of great sites out there that I would recommend that you all check out – and here are three that I check on regularly.

Life in the Fast Lane “is a medical blog and website dedicated to providing online emergency medicine and critical care insights and education for everyone, everywhere… usually with a healthy dose of good humour, and always with endless enthusiasm.” The site is run by Mike Cadogan & Chris Nickson, and the contributors are mostly emergency physicians and intensivists based in Australia and New Zealand.

Academic Life in Emergency Medicine is another fantastic EM site headed up by Michelle Lin, and EM physician from San Francisco. Per their description the “blog aims to disrupt how medical providers and trainees can gain public access to high-quality, educational content while also engaging in a dialogue about best-practices in Emergency Medicine and medical education.” They are truly pushing the agenda to “reshape medical education and academia in their evolution beyond the traditional classroom.”

Dr. Smith’s ECG Blog is a site that has taught me more about the ECGs of adults than any other resource. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about ECGs.

Thanks again!
