It's that time of year again, and though many of you started before today, and many will do so afterwards I wanted to wish you all a Happy Medical New Year's Day. I also wanted to share some words of wisdom on this day of actual and symbolic change.
In an effort to bring my educational offerings to as many platforms as possible I've added the entire back catalog of PEM Currents, the Pediatric Emergency Medicine podcast to Stitcher.
This is the one non-medical post of the year. I can't seem to get my act together and get out to Hallmark to buy a card, so I have to settle for making a video. Happy Anniversary Kerri, I love you!
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2018 edition of PEMPix.
No new posts this week - getting some much needed R&R with the family. More great content coming soon!
Check out PEMBlog next week for all things rashes. You never know what will pop up!
If you'll be attending the APPD Spring meeting in Atlanta, GA this week and want to chat about FOAM, asynchronous learning, blogs, podcasts and more come to my Enhanced Learning Session tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21st.
I'll be in Washington, DC this weekend at the 2018 Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellows Conference. If you're attending I'd be delighted to chat about online learning, #FOAMed, podcasts and more.
It is natural to reflect at the end of the year. I wanted to share this post as a way to thank all of my readers and contributors and to give a full accounting of how the site performed over the past year. Sharing this data will hopefully allow me to continue to improve the site and expand PEMBlog's educational reach in the service of my ongoing efforts to teach as many providers as possible about the care of ill and injured children.
