It must be nice to work at Google. Twenty percent of an employee’s time is spent on individual pursuits. One such group of Google employees worked to build an open source 3D layered model of the human anatomy. You can check it out here. The potential for this project to become a teaching tool in anatomy courses, during clinical clerkships, and in explaining how the human body works to patients and families in amazing. Take a look at the models of the male and female anatomy – and let me know how you’ve used it in your clinical/educational setting.
