It’s a Fixed Drug Eruption!

A “fixed” drug eruption can be caused by any number of medicines – antibiotics included. It is “fixed” because it always shows up in the same area whenever one takes the medicine. They star as oval red/brown patches, later blistering and leaving raw denuded skin behind. If the drug is stopped they heal. The treatment is conservative in most cases, and involves moisturizing. This example is a really bad case and is seen after blistering.
