July 1st is kind of an "unofficial" hospital in the medical world isn't it? Especially with everything going on in the world right now I wanted to deliver an encouraging message to all of you.
My only non medical post of the year... Happy 13th Anniversary to my amazing wife. Enjoy the video everyone!
Michael Mojica, editor of the exceptional PEM Guides recently shared another excellent resource with me. It's entitled PEM Cars and has been updated for 2019. PEM CARS is a FREE eBook found exclusively on the Apple Books online store that includes comprehensive reviews of 200 articles from the medical literature relevant to the care of the ill or injured child in the acute care setting.
This is the schedule of blog posts and online content that will run parallel to the Section on Emergency Medicine program at the 2019 AAP National Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans, LA.
Check out the details on how to register for Pedi SonoFest at the 2019 AAP National Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans this October.
Starting this Friday, August 16th, 2019, I will be releasing a new fracture focused episode of my podcast, PEM Currents, the Pediatric Emergency Medicine podcast every Friday for the next seven weeks. I have been working on the scripts and production of these episodes for quite some time, and I hope you enjoy them and learn something.
This is now an annual tradition at PEMBlog. My only non medical post of the year. I still can't seem to get my act together to get out to Hallmark and buy a card for my wife. Therefore, I just have to throw a video together, last minute. I hope she enjoys it, and forgives me for not being able to express my sentiments via a card.
No new posts this week as I enjoy some downtime with the family.
It's that time of year again, and though many of you started before today, and many will do so afterwards I wanted to wish you all a Happy Medical New Year's Day. I also wanted to share some words of wisdom on this day of actual and symbolic change.
In an effort to bring my educational offerings to as many platforms as possible I've added the entire back catalog of PEM Currents, the Pediatric Emergency Medicine podcast to Stitcher.
